Fan fiction writers take notice! Starting today, and continuing through January 30, 2005, CBn will be hosting a fan fiction contest. Recently we had through co-operation with the Fan Fiction Reader’s Club and many talented writers, a short story collection put together on the site. This time, it is a contest with a few requirements:

• We ask that you post your name in the sign-up thread and then post a complete and finished story by the due date of January 30, 2005. Please do not post any ‘snippets’ or ‘teasers’ or anything else about the story.
  
  
• There are two categories open for stories and will eventually become two collections. The first is the short story category with a limit of 10,000 words and the second is the category of stories with more than 10,000 words. Simply add your name to the corresponding thread. We are looking for roughly 6-8 pieces for the 10,000 words or less collection and 4-6 pieces for the 10,000 words or more collection.
  
  
• When posting your completed story, if it is under 10,000 words, just copy and paste the entire story in one post. If it is more than that, and sensible to do so, feel free to take more than one post to copy and paste the entire story.
  
  
• The judging panel consisting of Fenna Geelhoed (Joyce Carrington), Christopher Davies (Hawkeye), Thomas Clink (clinkeroo), Evan Willnow (Mister Asterix), and Devin Zydel (Qwerty) will then select the stories that will go into the two story collections and onto the CBn Fan Fiction main page.

The contest is open to all CBn members, so please join in. Winning entries will be compiled into a collection of stories and highlighted in CBn’s Fan Fiction Section – The Rough With The Smooth.

To enter you must be a member of CBn’s forums. If you are not already a CBn forum member you can register by following this link. You can sign up in the forums in this Sign Up thread. When your story is completed, please post it in CBn’s fan fiction posting forums.
